The Science

Why Train In The Heat?

01

Deeper muscle engagement

Infrared heat warms muscles from the inside, increasing flexibility and range of motion beyond what is possible in a cool room.

02

Accelerated detoxification

Sweating in an infrared environment helps the body flush toxins efficiently, leaving skin glowing and the system refreshed.

03

Mental clarity and stress relief

The heat triggers endorphin release and reduces cortisol. Each session doubles as a moving meditation.

04

Elevated calorie burn

The heart works harder in the heat, reaching cardio levels even in slow, deliberate movements.

05

Nervous system reset

Heat exposure activates the parasympathetic nervous system, leaving you in deep calm and recovery after class.

06

Faster recovery

Improved circulation speeds nutrient delivery to muscles, reducing soreness and accelerating tissue repair.

Questions

About The Heat

Ask The Studio
How hot is the room?

Hot Pilates runs at 100°F with around 40% humidity. Sculpt is cooler at 90°F, Flow at 82°F and Restore at 77°F. The heat increases the depth of your stretch and helps the body detoxify.

Will I be able to handle the heat?

Most new students are surprised how quickly they adapt. In your first class you may feel light-headed — that is normal. Lie down, breathe, drink water. Never push through pain.

Is hot yoga safe for me?

It is safe for most healthy adults. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, have cardiovascular conditions, or any heat sensitivity, and tell your instructor before class.

What if I feel unwell during class?

Take Child's Pose, step out for water, or rest on your mat. Your instructor is there to support you — let them know how you are feeling.
